Posted: Sun Nov 13, 2011 16:54 Post subject: NEW Fractal BUILDS 17949 *CLOSED* Moving on to Devel Thread
Good morning,
Wanted to say a special thanks to KONG, he is the MAN!!! he contributed the USB fix in this release.. Also wanted to say thanks to ascott from sputnik as well, as him and I have been working on this project for the last few weeks.
The NV60k releases are for E'Series Routers with NV60K flash like E2000/E3000/E3200/E4200 ECT...
the Non NV60k releases are for NON E'series router... Make sure you know your router before applying..
Hope everyone has had a good weekend.
EDIT 11/15: I have updated builds on page 2 hopefully fixing the remaining EXT2/3... Please
EDIT 11/28 - I believe I have fixed USB automount for all devices... I am attaching some bins for testing. Page 6
give feedback

By default all disks are mounted to /tmp/mnt/disc<num>_part<num>.
If a partition is labeled Optware it will be mounted to /opt, if it is labeled Jffs it is mounted to /jffs, if it is labeled Mnt it is mounted to /mnt.
The user can override this behaviour by supplying the uuid of a partition in the webinterface this will override default and mount by label strategy.
The webinterface allows to enable umounting via ses button.
I'm unsure if Fractal implemented all Kongs usb-code But if he did it's working that way. _________________ [I prefer answere in whole sentence]

Ok I also updated my E-4200 to 17893 mega thanks to Kong, and especially Fractal Ascott to advance this project ....... Thanks

I just purchased an e4200, and noticed that the linksys firmware basically looks nearly exactly like the dd-wrt firmware pages, down to the tabs...
So three questions:
1. How is this build on the e4200? Are there any known limitations?
2. What, generally, is the benefit (other than the obvious lifetime support issue, since I'm sure linksys is just going to stop supporting it, if they haven't already).
3. dd-wrt.com itself seems to be static (no news since late 2010.) Other than this project, has dd-wrt kind of fallen apart?
I was just talking about this the other day and bam, right in my lap. Seems wireless is running better for the 1hr so far that i've had it. Definitely less errors on wifi than before, only 16 and that was there on boot up. By now it would already be over 100-200.
Seems to be running fine but i'll leave judgement for 24hrs first.
Wi-viz isn't working in this build, but if I understand correctly that's been a problem for a while. Other than that seems to be running fine on my E3000. I still need to give the wireless a good shakedown and I'll re post if I see anything worth mentioning.
How can we be certain that the interference value is getting set on boot?
I just installed this new build (dd-wrt.v24-17893_NEWD-2_K2.6_mega-nv60k) on my E4200, with a 30/30/30 before and after the firmware upgrade, and running these commands I see:
Code:
root@monty:~# wl -i eth1 interference
root@monty:~# wl -i eth2 interference
Non-wireless LAN Interference mitigation is enabled.
So only eth2 is set, but if I manualy set eth1 to 2, I see:
Code:
root@monty:~# wl -i eth1 interference 2
root@monty:~# wl -i eth1 interference
Wireless LAN Interference mitigation is enabled.
First load an e2k-e3k build from either 16785 or 16994 which will give you nv60k compatibility, then update to any nv60k build version of your choice. _________________ Kernel panic: Aiee, killing interrupt handler!
Hey, hopefully I'm understanding how these rom builds work but 17893 should include add'l 3G/4G device support in the "mega" roms as well, right? (Still a DD-WRT noob.)
So far everything ok on E-4200, unfortunately the problem is that the wifi 2.4 Under no cron wakes up only 5 MHz of bandwidth is active rules that I set these
# disable wifi (eg Monday to Friday at 01:30)
30 01 * * 1-5 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth1 radio off
30 01 * * 1-5 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth2 radio off
# enable wifi (eg Monday to Friday at 16:00)
30 16 * * 1-5 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth1 radio on
30 16 * * 1-5 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth2 radio on
# disable wifi (es.Dal Saturday to Sunday at 02:00)
0 02 * 0.6 * root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth1 radio off
0 02 * 0.6 * root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth2 radio off
# enable wifi (eg, from Saturday to Sunday at 07:00)
07 * 0.6 * 0 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth1 radio on
07 * 0.6 * 0 root / usr / sbin / wl-i eth2 radio on
Can you help?
Thanks again ..... Yes, read second post. btw Ext4 isn't supported use Ext2/Ext3. _________________ [I prefer answere in whole sentence]
