Considering that this unit is very new (and not in market circulation), i doubt that it has support yet.

There are people in the following thread looking forward for a compatible firmware so the unit seems to be in market circulation

Well, then go back to that thread and tell them that there won't be a dd-wrt port for it until Eko has got a donated router on his table.

Sounds like the V2 could have less NVRAM than the V1, might want to look into that.

Don't they both have 32kB? Could you link the source of your information?

Reading the comments in that thread on MyOpenRouter. A user apparently reported the NVRAM on the V2 to be:

Quote:
size: 21592 bytes (11176 left)

But it could be a slight mis-interpretation and reporting the values seperately.

I agree with you suspecting it might be mis-interpretation.
If you sum that 21592B and 11176B you will get exactly 32kB (32768B) so I suspect that 21592B in his reading was "used bytes" value, not total NVRAM capacity, while 32kB being total.

That could well be the case.

Though on the V1 if I grep the nvram I get:

Quote:
29720 bytes (xxxx left)

So it seems strange it would report differently.

From reading the posts on the other site, i am of the conclusion that they don't really know if they have a true WNR3500L v2.

As i said, this unit does not appear to be in market circulation. And if it is, could you point me to where they sell it? (and yes, i already read the post so looking in amazon ain't gonna produce it)

I've only seen the V1. Checked Amazon, Newegg and EBuyer and all indicate that its the V1. Some people have reported they have a V2 (I admit, I thought I did at first Embarassed).

But I don't think the V2 is available to the mass market at the moment.

I think user highvoltage was confused and actually has v1. On the other hand user cutebuny seems sure to have v2. As for me, I will let you know when I finally receive my order (I was told it is going to be v2 but the seller could be mistaken).

I suspect that it reports the same way meaning 29720 bytes is used, while the total capacity is a sum of used 29720 + xxxx left. Check is the sum 32768 bytes.

Easier way for me to know, how much did you pay for it?

Ah, then you most likely are going to get a v1, v1's here are around $65-70 and i don't think they will bring out a dual radio unit for the same price as the single radio unit. But that'll remain to be seen...
