Hi,

I'm new here, and just been switching to DD-WRT on my ASUS WL-330GE and Netgear WG602v3 and all going well :-)

My question is, was wondering about support for the Netgear DG834GT. Is there any particular reason why it cannot be supported?

From openwrt, I gleaned this info:

Code:
Model: DG834GT
Target: brcm63xx
Platform: Broadcom 6348
CPU Speed: 255
Flash Mem: 4MB
RAM: 16MB
Wireless: Atheros (mini-PCI)
Wireless Standard: 11b/g
Wired Ports: 4 + ADSL
VLAN Config: No
USB: 1x v1.1
Serial: Yes
JTAG: Yes

I'd be quite interested in having DD-WRT on this, but if it's not possible, then that's OK. I just wondered if there was some difficulty or reason as to why it's not supported.

What if I want to use my DG834GT as a wifi repeater, and not use the ADSL modem part of it at all - will that work?

Only if you can find firmware that you can flash to your router that does what you need. You cannot flash ddwrt on it. It's not a supported device and will never be a supported device.

Check out the modified firmware here;

Not sure if any of that works on your unit or not?
