Tried so many times to get it to work. I need to connect one router to another as I only get Internet one on side of my house. I have a Dd-wrt router (linksys wrt54g).
I simply cannot get past the first step. I did a 30/30/30 reset. I am following the wiki instructions. Do I set my wireless or local area connection ip to 193.268.1.9? I tried both and was unsuccessful. I cannot connect my CPU to the linksys. I have it hardwired to my laptop an have tried connecting via 192.168.0.1 , 0.2 , 1.1, 1.2
None of these work. Cannot even get it to link up. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?
And once I get it connected, is there anything special I have to do? I had it connected once before and changed the settings appropriately but it did not work.

Would you please post a link to the WIKI you are following ? _________________ http://69.175.13.131:8015 Streaming Week-End Disco. Station Ripper V 1.1 will do.
My problems in the past have had to do with the security settings. I'd suggest setting the first router to open, with no security, and see if you can then create a connection wirelessly to that.
If that fails, try connecting the second router wired to the first. Assign it a fixed IP address that differs only in the last octet from that of the first router.
Turns off DHCP in the second router, and it is a bridge.
Once that is working, you can reintroduce security.

For starters, the IP address you are using is not the one that the WIKI says to use. It says 192.168.1.9 and you have 193.268.1.9 which will prevent you from logging in. _________________ http://69.175.13.131:8015 Streaming Week-End Disco. Station Ripper V 1.1 will do.

You should be able to connect to the default wireless signal which is named "wireless". It will give the wireless adaptor in your computer a valid IP address and you can then log into the router at 192.168.1.1 _________________ http://69.175.13.131:8015 Streaming Week-End Disco. There are many different ways for various different models of computer. Most will have a physical switch or a function key combination that enables the wireless adaptador. _________________ http://69.175.13.131:8015 Streaming Week-End Disco. Station Ripper V 1.1 will do.

The wireless adaptor and the LAN adaptor should both be set for DHCP. _________________ http://69.175.13.131:8015 Streaming Week-End Disco. Station Ripper V 1.1 will do.
I dont think your understanding what I am saying. I have connected my DD-WRT router with an ethernet cable to my laptop.
I cannot even access the router settings to change ANYTHING (including DHCP)...
Heres the steps that I take...
Currently I cannot access wifi so I am completely disconnected to the internet.
Changed my Local Area Connection IP to 192.168.1.9.
Plugged in the router to my laptop.
Tried to access the router from the internet using the routers IP.

My original router is 192.168.0.1.
Follow the wiki but you need to make adjustments based on your subnet. The wiki uses the 192.168.1.x subnet for the examples.
Your subnet is 192.168.0.1
Follow the wiki.. substitute all instances if 192.168.1.~ with 192.168.0.~

No luck.
Where am i stalling?
There is no dhcp running on a repeater bridge.
