Hello.

I have got a ASUS RT-N16 router and I'm upset that it doesn't support

  • 802.11n (just 802.11n Draft)
  • MIMO 3x3
  • work in the 5 GHz frequency block
  • Jumbo Frames.

If I install on my router DD-WRT, it will support this?

Thank you.

P.S. I'm sorry, but my english is really bad. I'm from Russia. Embarassed

No as the hardware doesn't support these features (jumbo frames may function).

It's not support mimo 3x3, then you have to wait for RT-N66U
DD-wrt doesen't support jumbo frames either.

No, thank, I won't wait for something.
And then nobody know, when DD-WRT will support it.

just to give some lights. i have this RT-66U since more than a month. the first one was just a PCB prototype. now a got the second revision. the original asus firmware doesnt seem to be finished on it, but dd-wrt works already on it. so its supported with latest nightly builds. just fixing some issues right now, but the main firmware boots and wireless works. the cpu has 600 mhz, 128 mb ram, 32 mb flash

Have a look here:

A lot of the things your looking for are hardware based. DD-WRT can't change the hardware. You should have purchased a different router.

Yes, I know it. But I has read in some review that hardware of RT-N16 support some of these features. Only the original asus firmware doesn't support it.
