First i have flashed the FW 14896 doing the emergency flash...i dont have a screenshot because im in the office..@work.

1 reset to factory settings and
2 then i did the 30/30/30 hard reset..
3 reconfigure my router.

at first it was okay.. and then while playing online games using garena client.. even tho with out or not playing online games..

i usually do cmd ping www.pldt.com.ph -t
the ping is running smooth for some mins 40ms,50ms,70ms.. then after an hour the ping latency spikes..
it reaches 900ms,700ms for a few mins like 3-5mins or so then back to 40ms,50ms..sometimes theres also request timeouts during this time..

(when the spikes takes more than 5mins)i sometimes reboot the router via the web gui.. and it goes back to normal again...
sometimes.. i unplug the cord and replug it again..

then i tried Brainslayers FW
06-14-11-r17201..

flash it thru emergency flashing method..
1 reset to factory settings and
2 then i did the 30/30/30 hard reset..
3 reconfigure my router.

SAME Thing.. SAME problem... Question Question

an update on my problem..

heres what i think..

theres a lot of unreplied connection on the udp..
it took 5-7 mins to get back on normal state..

if theres a huge spike/ high latency theres also a lot of unreplied connection between the router and the modem or the isp.. i dont know whats really going on coz im not an expert of this..

heres my screenshot

FIRMWARE DDWRT: Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/12/10) std
ROUTER: Dlink 600 Bx/B2

solution for this is only to restart the router..
is there any other solution on not to do the restarting the router?

Hi!

I have the same issue on Ralink routers.

The solution may be to add a firewall rule to "drop" unreplied connections.

I'm searching the web to find the right sintax to do that.

I hope you find it useful.
