Hi,

I'm having a serious problem with the lastest builds.

Just see this chart:

http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/5489/sdfasdfasdfo.png

(My network is the jumpy red one)

This problem is discussed since 16773M build (at least) and have a ticket open: http://svn.dd-wrt.com:8000/ticket/2053

No one have can solve this?

My setup:
RT-N16 with 17462M.

This problem does NOT exist with 15508M Eko build.

Thanks!

15508 has older wifi drivers. After around 170xx(84?) there were new drivers and the stability went to crap.

If you need a virtual ssid (for guests), you might have trouble on 15508 but not with the 16xxx versions. Be aware that there's problems with the 16xxx versions that may or may not appear on your router. I've had pretty good success with wifi my N16s though using an earlier 16xxx version.

Time to downgrade? It's a good idea to release a build with the latest code but the old wifi driver.

At least, for testing proposes...

I'm running 16537 Mega on mine. Its solid...been running with an uptime for about 10 weeks. The new builds after 170XX are really crap. I can't find any that are decent and run consistently.

but then you don't have a pppoe wan connection on it.
pppoe got broken after 16214 and was fixed in 16785.

Yes...that's true...I don't run PPPoE.

Just indicating a build that's been working for me on my RT-N16.

All I can say is the 17000+ builds suck. I have a few running 17172 but that is where I stopped...the later builds are so bad none of my Repeaters will run...no WAN IP address and the devs don't seem too interested in fixing this basic function.

Try Kong Mod buid 17140.

Very stable and reliable build for me and good wireless signals because it uses older Broadcom drivers for Wi-Fi.
