I have WRT610N v1, and have tried both the recommended build 14929 and the latest version 16214, and they both have the same problem of stopping Internet after setting about 20 static leases.
Once the offending number of lease is reached, the only way to get Internet back is to remove one of the leases from Services and press "Apply".
Is this normal behavior? Has anyone else encountered this? I wonder what is causing this and how do it sovled it?

Hi!
I have wrt610v1 and I want to know which version is more stable with wi-fi especially with 5GHz band.
I use DD-WRT v24-sp2 (10/26/10) mega 15508M NEWD-2 Eko, and I have very low signal strenght and very slow wi-fi connection especially at 5GHz...

I can ping (TTL=100) and tftp to the router when it first starts up (powered on). I have not been able to flash an image that would bring it back to life.

Anyone have any suggestions on what to try?
Thanks,

Start a new thread.. When you do, explain what happened to the router to begin with.. What hardware version is the 610? exactly what build did you flash and / or are trying to flash, etc.. More detail the better. _________________ [Moderator Deleted]
Is anybody running Eko's new builds (post 'snow') ?
My plan is to put build 16773 (NEWD2 K2.6 mega) on my 610N V1.
Just wondering
i would have to say you should not upgrade to that version on a 610NV1..
i have upgraded to that version according to the known procedure and the system entered cyclic reboots with varying uptime.

running dd-wrt.v24-16785_NEWD-2_K2.6_big fine on my V1. mega might be to large to fit in a v1's memory though _________________ now running tomato by shibby

i've installed the dd-wrt.v24-16994_NEWD-2_K2.6_big-e2000.
Everything went ok.
But when i read all the topics, all people are able to select wireless channel 161.
I don't have this option.
Does somebody know how to reveal it?

I just acquired a WRT610N v1 on ebay. I was very disappointed with stock firmware when I experienced the frequent disconnection. That happened whenever I was transferring large files on the 5GHz band, and it also disrupted the video streaming on the 2.4GHz band to my media player. Before this router, I have 4 G routers and 2 N routers running dd-wrt already. So I give it a try. I have been using K2.4 r16494 WRT610N.bin (only for v1) for a few days. It has been very stable. I only experienced disconnection once during file transfer. My video streaming has been very smooth and the wireless signal and range drastically improved. As a precaution of heat accumulation, I put the router vertically with the back ventilation holes exposed. I tried the K2.6 firmware once, but I had problem in seeing the 5GHz band. Now I am very happy with the router.
