Mine is v1.8 and I am running v24 presp2 [Beta](Build 14896 and not experiencing any issues.
Beware that I haven't found any files to flash back to the original firmware.

Hi guys.
I've read the entire thread and i still have a few questions ...
I want to buy TP Link TP-WR1043ND router but the only HW models i can find in stores are 1.5 & 1.8
I've read that the 1.4 is the only HW version which works flawlessly.
I need to know which one is better : 1.5 or 1.8
My needs are :
1 pc connected through LAN, 1 NAS connected through LAN, Xtreamer connected through LAN, iPhone 4 via WiFI, Motorola Defy via WiFi, 1 laptop (Dell Latitude D630) via WiFI.
I'm connected to Cable ISP and i need a L2TP dialer.
My internet line is 12Mb/1Mb
Please help ... which version should i buy and what issues i might encounter if i install DD-WRT ?

Hi all,
I just upgraded to DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std - build 14896 and my connection has dropped from the 130mbps it was before on the factory firmware to just 65???
Any ideas or is this a bug with the current firmware?
yeah, the new build 08-10-11-r17461 completely fckd my router...
it starts, one diode after another flashes, then all together, then it restart...
i tried 50/50/50, but no reponse.
will keep it shut down over the night, hopefully it works tomorrow again.
can anyone tell me, how can i possibly repair it?
i thought about flashing with tftp, once it starts, but i've never un-bricked my router.
any help is highly appriciated.
thanks

Yep, I said to myself, "Oh this guy just had some bad luck, or screwed something up, or his router has just gone bad."
So I went and upgraded to 7461, and now my router is completely fuxxored. Does anyone have a guide on how to unbrick a WR-1043ND? I've tried holding the reset for 40 seconds both with power on and power off and neither helped. The router appears to be stuck in some kind of boot loop. _________________ Netgear R7000

Similarly. Firmware 17461 broke the router
+1. Anyone, please help to restore working condition!
For anyone who hasn't upgraded yet, don't do it! And this version needs to be removed from the downloads, asap. I honestly don't see how this can be fixed. My feeling is that my new router has become an expensive paper weight... _________________ Netgear R7000

Sorry about your router. I guess I will not be updating, thanks for the heads-up. Hopefully someone could help you out un-bricking it, I wish I could but it's out of my scope.
