Hey folks,
just installed a clean fresh nice dd-wrt.v24-13575_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt160nv3.bin on my WRT160Nv3 in AP mode connected to a cable modem...everything is fine. I thought...

I had to realize that my wifi connection doesnt work well...after a few minutes, sometimes an hour or a little more, the router disconncets everyone from the wlan. I tried to pimp a little my connection as explained here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Router_Slowdown. Well, I just regulated the TCP Timeout to 600...but anyways I dont think thats the problem. I have never seen the router reaching the 4000 connections. But I think its getting worse when I try to use p2p tools like utorrent.
Also I should mention that I have a "big network". Alltogether something like 50 active devices on peak. (inclueded blackberrys, ipods/pads/phones, workstations, etc.). But none of those guys really does biiigggg filesharing or network sniffing. Means: their connection count is always above 50 or so.
I also shut down the httpd daemon (ssh, root, "killall httpd") to gain more ram. After a wlan disconnect the httpd is back on. Thats weird and means that the router does a reset!? But anyways my modem internet ip doesnt change.

Code:
Total Available26.9 MB / 32.0 MB
Free13.0 MB / 26.9 MB
Used13.9 MB / 26.9 MB
Buffers1.5 MB / 13.9 MB
Cached5.2 MB / 13.9 MB
Active1.4 MB / 13.9 MB
Inactive0.6 MB / 13.9 MB

This seems healthy aswell....

Just to mention it...dont know if its important: My ISP is very shitty. They gave us a cable modem. Officially its not normal that you should connect more than one device to that cable modem...But I cant believe thats the reason.

Any suggestions are welcome!

Thanks in advance,
ozzzzzz

No such supported router as a 150n v3.

Well, if THAT is the router, you have put the wrong build on it! It should be bricked. Follow the wiki install!!!

Forget to change that too.....i copied the wrong info from the wiki post. I installed dd-wrt.v24-13575_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt160nv3.bin

Everything is correct now, I hope. The router is not bricked but still wifi problems...
Someone with this router? How many connection count max?

Don't use that build. Read the forum announcements.

hi there

yesterday, i just flash my wrt160Nv3 with dd-wrt.v24-14929_NEWD-2_K2.6_mini_wrt160nv3.. it works just fine... previously i install the *13575 as suggested by wiki... the wifi signal keep on connect and disconnect at 10-20 sec interval...

this is what happen when i failed to read all the resources.. reading the wiki and how to install doesnt always right... so yesterday i spend almost 3 hours reading all the info with regards to broadcomm, wrt160v3 etc and all the links...

finally i understand how to get it work... so i downloaded the newer version

so here's what i did (since i have the previous 13755 dd-wrt, so following the instruction on this site (how to upgrade), first do a hard reset, then reboot...wait approx 5 mins ( i dont go grab a beer, but i light my cigarette), then i upload the newer bin file. Wait..and the reboot
hard reset once more...

then it's ready to be configured as usual....

hope this help... when they the gurus said wait, we really have to wait... take a walk, grab a beer (as suggested Smile) etc..etc
