Hi All.

New model DIR-620.

Chip: RT3052F
RAM: 32MBx32bit -> 2x 16Mb x 16bits SDRAM
Flash: 8Mb.

To be added to the database.
Very similar to Asus RT-N13U. On DIR-620 working firmware DD-WRT N13U.

I'm search Ralink AP SoC SDK, but everywhere dead link.

Why is it not working script automount flash drives (from the FAQ N13U).

I want to make their firmware.
Or just need firmware with SAMBA + Transmission.

It seems that DIR-620 is only sold in Russia and in the Baltic states so it will not need FCC approval.

Fcc number:KA2DIR615G1
Hardware rev: B1

So that the SDK? Help me find.

In the reference firmware is almost nothing does not work. It was designed as a complement to the package of Internet (russian provider Yota) 3G or WiMax.

A hardware is very good! Price Dir-620 60$.

How flash DD-WRT on DIR-620

1. Solder pins to the 4 pin serial.
2. Prepare TFTP server (located in the download area)
3. Download the latest DD-WRT RT-N13U build to the root folder of the tftp.

Frimware Asus -> http://www.dd-wrt.com/routerdb/de/download/Asus/RT-N13U/-/asus-to-ddwrt.trx/3502

4. Set the IP address of the computer or device running the tftp server to 192.168.0.105/24
5. Set your console program to 57600, 8, n, 1
6. The boot timeout is 3 seconds, so you will have to be very fast with the next step
While powering on, the following message will display at the console:

Code:
---------------------
Please choose the operation:
1: Load system code to SDRAM via TFTP.
2: Load system code then write to Flash via TFTP.
3: Boot system code via Flash (default).
4: Entr boot command line interface.
9: Load Boot Loader code then write to Flash via TFTP.
---------------------

7. Select [4], and put in this command: Erase linux.
8. Reboot device and Select [2].

ipadr : 192.168.0.1 (or other)
ipserver : 192.168.0.105 (or other)
filename : asus-to-ddwrt.trx

9. Router after reboot working!

Is it a correct method of soldering on a picture or I need some invertor of a signal?

I have found the scheme for connection to com-port for D-Link DIR-320, I can use it?

The database did not indicate the presence of USB 2.0 in the Dir 620.

Take a look on native D-Link firmware (ftp://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-620/Firmware/). It is *.tar.gz archive with included installation sh-script ("runme" in root folder)

Maybe it can be used some way to flash DD-WRT? As far as i understand, it writes two images (?) to MTD via command "mtd_write", written by D-Link developers, which is analogue of DD-WRT's "mtd".

I don't understand principles of flashing embedded devices too much, so i can tell really stupid things, sorry.
