The redboot works for me. Use PUTTY as the telnet client and everything should be A OK.

Wait a bit, I'll upload a new one with Busybox 1.2.1 in a few hours...

Busybox 1.3.1 is still broken.

how i have to compile my kamikaze image????
Easy. Setup a development environment (on Windows with the VMware player and a Ubuntu Image, see the sticky thread in the OpenWrt Developers forum).

Or wait a bit and I'll upload a new image. I think nbd already fixed the Busybox issues in subversion...

.... i dont mean the general compiling Wink,
i compiled kamikaze by my own but i want that gpio devices.... but seems have to patch gpio.c and add atheros support....

@goldserve: did you try to reflash after you flashed with the ne precompiled build or do you mean the old precompiled version from heini66?

I built my own image with the latest source but version 1.2.1 busybox and it works. I had flashed a bad image so i went back to redboot and flashed my new image and everything is fine.

On a side note, I also included wpa_supplicant and other wireless tools and i've been able to get the fon router to connect to another router using WPA.

I'm no openwrt and linux expert so i have no clue on how to set the routing tables to bridge the ethernet and port forward...

Hi there,

I'm trying myself to explore the fonera, and I like your work. I tried to follow the instructions given on the sumary.

My Fonera is/was running 0.7.0.-rev4.

I gained SSH with the part II Hack and all worked fine. I also secured my fonera from being updated by fon and made SSH constantly.

I hadn't pluged it to the internet, so there has been no connection to fon before i tried to flash it.

My Problem is, after i made the first Step (i had to plug it to my wrt-54gl now, for the first time, to get internet on the fonera)

Quote:
cd /tmp
wget http://coppercore.net/~kevin/fon/openwrt-ar531x-2.4-vmlinux-CAMICIA.lzma
mtd -e vmlinux.bin.l7 write openwrt-ar531x-2.4-vmlinux-CAMICIA.lzma vmlinux.bin.l7
reboot

It didn't start again. Even Reset by resetbutto does noch work in anyway. I tried all possibillitys to reset the box. So, what is it doing:

on startup, there is only the power led on. Than (after half an hour of waiting) nothing more happens. The wlan led is no more on. I tried to plug it with crossover to my gentoo box and telnet to it (i tried 192.168.1.1 and .1.254). When it's connected to the computer, first 10 seconds nothing happens, and then the Internet Led turns on. Everytime while I'm generating networktraffic (with ping or something) the led is blinking.

Doe's anyone know this Problem too, or do i have to reflash it by serial/jtag?

Greetings

Andre

ps: if webspace for images is still needes, I can offer some Space on my rootserver.

It looks like you could pass with serial to recover your box. Hope it works out for you.

It seems the problem with busybox and telnetd has been fixed: https://dev.openwrt.org/changeset/5959

Remember to activate "Support standalone telnetd (not inetd only)" in menuconfig (CONFIG_BUSYBOX_CONFIG_FEATURE_TELNETD_STANDALONE)

Too late, for now. My image is with Busybox 1.2.1. I'll upload a new one in a month or so... but you can always build your own.

I'm still trying to build one with webif^2 - which would finally give us a GUI for La Fonera. So far I was unsuccessful: http://xwrt.berlios.de/forum/index.php/topic,52.0.html

The webif^2 is not yet ready for Kamikaze...

EDIT: I deleted the the atheros-2.6 stuff from my webspace because heini66 has newer versions. See the other thread.
