ASUS TO NETOPIA VPN

Trying to create a vpn tunnel with a Asus RT-g32 with Firmware: DD-WRT v24-sp2 (08/07/10) std to a Netopia R-9100 router I set the connection stuff up in the VPN tab i reset the router and tried everything and i cant seem to get it connect and now it wont stop calling the other router despite all the information is removed form the VPN and its disabled on the asus…. the error that i see on the other router is there is no default profile and then the username / password is incorrect

any insight is appreciated!
