I am trying to install HDsamba, and the installation fails at Task 4, producing this log:
Quote:
HDsamba2 v5.60

Detected valid time server !

Task 3 looks like this:

Now you have to choose where you opt partition, you swap partition
an you data partition is located.
Please enter partition id for opt:

TASK 3: Done
---------------------------------------------------------
.
---------------------------------------------------------
TASK 4: So now let's mount the devices for the first time.
First check weather the mountpoints are free.
Mountpoints are free
Something went wrong during device mount, see the log for details.

In order to enter the partition ids, I had to plug the drive into my laptop and use a disk utility to find the GUID of each partition.

Is that normal?

When I gave up on HDsamba, and tried installing slim samba, the automount feature fails to mount my drive, producing this log:

I noticed the following thread, where someone had a similar issue and seems to have fixed a bug in an HDsamba script, but he didn't post the fix :/
http://www.myopenrouter.com/forum/thread/18918/HDsamba2-on-WNR3500L-installation-errors/

I'm using a WD Elements 2TB drive.

Any assistance with getting HDsamba or slimsamba up and running is appreciated.

The new version of ntfs-3g not correctly working. And Samba 3.5.5-1 works very slow.
I observe transfer only 2,8 Mb/s. Sad

You can try:

Code:
wget http://www.3iii.dk/linux/optware/v6install.HDsamba_K26.sh
sh /tmp/v6install.HDsamba_K26.sh

SWAT will not work though.

But I cann't mount NTFS drive. The command
Code:

ntfs-3g /dev/scsi... /mnt

not working. I get an error:
fuse device not found, try 'modprobe fuse'

After I reinstall Optware problem still remains.

Have you tried inserting the fuse module? Is the module in /usr/lib/modules (may be /lib/modules/<kernel version>)...not around my router right now.

Yes, the fuse.ko in /opt/lib/modules/2.6.24.111
But no more files in this folder except fuse.ko. It is strange.

I try to insert fuse, but get an error:
root@DD-WRT:~# cd /opt/lib/modules/2.6.24.111
root@DD-WRT:/opt/lib/modules/2.6.24.111# insmod fuse.ko
insmod: cannot insert 'fuse.ko': Success

Also I try to install new ntfs-3g module with integrated fuse, but get errors:

root@DD-WRT:~# ipkg-opt install http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/brc
m47xx/packages/ntfs-3g-utils_2010.8.8-1-fuseint_brcm47xx.ipk
Downloading http://downloads.openwrt.org/snapshots/trunk/brcm47xx/packages/ntfs-3g-utils_2010.8.8-1-fuseint_brcm47xx.ipk
Clearing state_want and state_flag for pkg=ntfs-3g-utils (arch_priority=0 flag=16 want=2)
Nothing to be done
An error ocurred, return value: 4.
Collected errors:
Cannot find package ntfs-3g-utils.
Check the spelling or perhaps run 'ipkg update'

I have 2.6.24.111 kernel from this build
dd-wrt.v24-14896_NEWD-2_K2.6_big

it does not have ntfs-3g binary so i installed it via ipkg

but now it says bus error

ntfs-3g /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 /mnt
Bus error
