Did you use the physdiskwrite program or dd to write the disk image to the hard disk ?

Please give us more information to work on.

I used physdiskwrite to load the image. I only have one hard drive in the system so I typed in the cmd prompt: “physdiskwrite.exe -u C:\dd-wrt_public_vga.image"
I entered ‘Y’ at the 2 GB warning and entered ‘0’ for the disk.
It loaded properly and was successful. However when I rebooted I got the message below.
It’s an Intel Celeron 1.01GHz with 384 Megs ram. It has a 4GB hdd and 3 nics.

this error will come up if the kernel cannot be decompressed/readed in any case. try to setup manually lba mode for this disk in your bios and try it again

Wow thanks BrainSlayer. I couldn’t find LBA mode however there was a hard drive option called block mode. I disabled it and continued to reboot. It worked. Thank you BS for replying. This is going to make my wife happy. Thank you again.
