Doesn't work anymore.

Doesn't work for me either. Errors out with "upgrade failed". Worried about bricking it with FTP.

Sash, if you're sure it is working, why to ask for testing?

If it helps...I'll test it tomorrow night after I return from a business trip....I'll post back.

Any specific hardware?...I have V5, and V8 I can test on....or a variety of other older Broadcom unit that is B/G only.

Micro Special loads and works just fine.

[EDIT] - this is on a modified CFE V5 unit with a 128K CFE....see my post below regarding maximum file size for Micro_Special on a standard unit with a 256K CFE.

The free version 14896 loads up fine, but when I use the special version 14929 does not work. It fails with a "upgrade failed" message. Is that 4kb file difference causing the problem?

Guys...I must apologize.....the router I loaded this build on has a modified 128K CFE...and not a standard 256K CFE.....this 14929 Micro_Special build IS too big.

For a 256K CFE the file can be no larger than : 1769472 bytes

This 14929 Micro Special is 1,773,568 bytes

So....this Micro_Special build will NOT work on a standard router with 2M Flash and 256K CFE.
