Currently, my router is flashed to micro generic (12548M). I want to flash it to support ssh but after searching posts in the forum, it seems that it has quite a lot of problem of stability. What is the recommended option if I want to flash it to SSH? Can I flash it to dd-wrt.v24-12548_NEWD_micro-plus_ssh.

Thanks a lot.

You can flash to those ssh and ssh plus builds after you upgrade your CFE

buddee....I think this is the link you meant to post. Upgrading the CFE is compressing it to 128K for the micro+ builds....not the initial flash procedure.

Thanks buddee & redhawk0,

that means that after I compress the CFE to 128K, I can use dd-wrt.v24-14205_NEWD_micro-plus_ssh.bin to flash my WRT54G v5, am I right?

Thanks a lot.

Yes...but I recommend you stick with the 13491 build of micro+_ssh.

Don't use any NEWD2 or K26 builds on this model.
