Hi Guys,

I am really new to dd-wrt, but I like to test. I have bought me a WRT54G from amazon. Unfortunally they send me a V7. Evil or Very Mad Is there any chance, that this version becomes supported in future?

I think there are 7 Version available. Unfortunately there is only support up to V6.

My understanding is that 7 is based on a different processor, so there will never be support for it. Take it back, and order a GL from Newegg or similar. You'll be much happier.

That sounds not nice Evil or Very Mad I`ll try to replace it. Is there support for all Version of WRT54GL?

yup...all GL has supported.

The GL have 2 version, v1.0 (serial no CL7Axxxxxx) and v1.1 (serial no CL7Bxxxxxx).
all GL version can flashing with 3rd party firmware

Cool Thanks. Amazon will replace my WRT54G with a WRT54GL. I think that I am then ready to fly with dd-wrt.
