So the Edimax firmware does upload, but enters into a reboot cycle to to a LZMA size error

tried the 690w firmware that BS just made (14473) the switch doesn't work. Im working on getting the switch driver loaded on boot up, but i need the driver anybody have it?

It is possible that the switch driver is compiled into the kernel.
I did a quick search in the dd-wrt source tree but couldn't find much about the AR690W
Is it only the LAN ports not working or also the WAN port? Can you connect via wireless?

I don't have a serial adaptor or jtag to check. Im working on getting a serial cable
A serial cable is a must for you in order to provide enough information to the developers, it is also useful in 95% of all brick cases.
jtag is mainly useful for debricking when the boot loader has got overwritten but those cases are rare.
