EDIT: I checked the firmware, its basically a hack-n-mod of the original Netgear one. Is there any way to make DD-WRT or even OpenWRT run on it. Reason being is that I want to plug it via Patch cable to my Xbox 360 and bridge the connection to my main router.
Guys, I thought you HELPED people - and I've only received ONE reply from TWO separate topics.
Geez, Are you expecting LIVE Tech support? You must have patience, and wait for a response to your question. Have you checked the supported devices list? _________________

I'm getting a bit frustrated, because I'd initially made another thread in the General Questions forum, and hadn't gotten a single reply. This has been here for about two days with 70 or so views and one reply.
Sorry if I sound like an a-hole, its just sort of consumed my mind to put DD-WRT on this router.
I don't have this device, and I've never used the DGteam firmware. However, reading about their tweaks to the Netgear firmware reveals they do a MUCH better job of configuring the Linux software behind the Netgear GUI that Netgear ever does. Their firmware is stable with more features whereas the Netgear firmware is always very hit-or-miss. Give the DGteam firmware a try, and look through the GUI screens. I believe they updated some of them with new items. If you'd like to review more discussion on the firmware, try this UK ADSL+ forum _________________ 2x Asus RT-AC68U
I have installed the DGTeam firmware, and although there are more functions than were previously, there still is no WDS or client-mode support - even though this particular model DOES support WDS (just not through the firmware).
Plus the fact that they only have a DG834G, and modify its firmware image for all the DG834XX models.
All I need is a way to enable client-mode on the router, so I can bridge my wireless connections, and I'm done.
I waited - quite a while, just as you said. And now I've tinkered with the router myself quite a bit in my spare time. I've telnet'd into it, couldn't understand anything (its got BusyBox 1.01 - new incarnation of it came with the DGTeam FW).
I messed with my primary router and DSL modem, a Thomson SpeedTouch 585v7. From what I learnt, that doesn't support WDS, so it seems that its all upto my secondary router being a client. For which I need DD-WRT. For which I need a compatible router.
So guys, anything. The pictures are up, any serial numbers of use are there. Just fire away and tell me what you think can/cannot be done. I'm all ears.
