Seems down to ralink this is all going on, Theres a few other forums posting the same dir-615 ext, and a few others probobly down to incompatablity issues its looking like that to me they have it running on these routers but just cant get to the bottom of working out the optimisation ?
Hope they get to the bottom of the issue with there software,

its transfer 4MB/s in N mode what good for me i can steam movies on the TV by wireless and its not hanging...
what i did is tftp to officialy ver 1.75 and after tftp back to ddwrt (feb/2010 ver) and used web firmware upgrad to newest ddwrt...
and wireless configurations: chanel 6 40hz (71mw) security AES and thats fixed it...
the wireless also working not bad on the iphone, i can stream porn movies without a problem
The PPPOE function is not working for me.
DD-WRT can get a wan IP,but my notebook can not connect to internet.(PS:DHCP OK but an exclamation mark on the connection icon)
Which version of dd-wrt can be work stably with the PPPOE function? thanks!
note, wireless light or power light does not flash on my model when in recovery mode 1.0A
i was asumeing to use 192.168.1.1 when it was 192.168.1.6 when using tftp (it did not click untill i looked at it recovery post 5 times and then seen the 6 and that was 2 hrs later lol, it is late thought so i blame sleep this time)
been pyling with it on an DIR-615 D2,
got an WRT54G 1.1 from some one (noticed that the cpu 125Mhz on it tad low can just about do 20mb speeds 2MB/s nealy)
the only resion edimax router that i got about an year ago due to the netgear WNR2000 bit lacking and no Gigabit ports, just happened to be pure luck that it was on your list
the edimax router has an strage issue once it has had load put onto it you can no longer access the routers web for an bit untill connections have died off when using the edimax one, the WRT 14289 currantly the router is Fully working but cant get into the router after putting utorrent load onto it(even the QOS is working as intended) set it to unlimited bandwidth and it was working all the time and pings was normal (ok +10-15ms then norm when upload is maxed out QOS limit still very good)
test wifi later on (all ready got 6MB/s out of it and its only an 250mhz CPU but that did not seem to affect the CPU use at all from when i was looking at the router)
The edimax has just released a new firmware for 6574n in Russian website.
The name of it was quite special, that was called ‘IPTV_4’.
I don’t know what is new about it, for the Russian website did not say anything about it and I do not understand any Russian at all.
When I flashed it into 6574n, the router seemed a little bit slowly than it was running Version 1.58.
So I close all the function that I do not need, now the router is running smoothly.
The Encryption now was only allowed to use WPA2 when in the N mode, so you can get full speed of N.
I tested it for a few days now. Sometimes the wireless connection could drop off. In the situation, the single was not too weak and you can receive the single, but could not reconnect for a long time. PS: The wireless card I use is D-Link dwa140 B1.
BrainSlayer seemed very busy in these days.
I expect the PPPoe problem could be fixed in the near future. So that I could run dd-wrt on my 6574n.

Hi
Is the Access control section working for someone?
website blocking by URL is working, but keywords isn't.
I tried to put some keywords in but still managed to enter websites containing those words.
and that was 2 hrs later lol, it is late thought so i blame sleep this time)
PS: The wireless card I use is D-Link dwa140 B1.
