hi, i connected a 12dbi omni 2.4 ghz antenna to a wrt54gl router. The distance from router to aerial is around 4 met using coax cable.
i can cover half the park but need to send it some more, even though i thought the above would cover the lot. there are a few trees around which i suppose will kill the signal. still the signal strength is 56% only. anyway to extend the signal more or improve signal.

SS of 56% is great....you likely won't do better than this.

I still get stable signal when my SS is down in the 18% or better.

Search the Broadcom SOC forum for "Catfish" thread...it is the Antenna thread of that board.
