cfe & encoding?

Hello,
I have my netgear dg834gtb connected via serial. 115200 8N1.
Kernel-output is ok, but if I press ctrl+C right after poweron, CFE-output is unreadable. Why?

Looks like the baudrate is not the same in the kernel and in the cfe, have you ever got any readable text from the cfe?

i tried 9600-460800, didn't help
the most readable output i got at 115200 7E1 vt102, see attached file

no ideas?..
is there a way to upload dd-wrt or openwrt via console (not cfe)? it has dd... but no tftp or wget
