Just got one. Was disappointed to see it isn't supported. Since I already have a dd-wrt router I'll keep this one stored hoping that one day DD-WRT or Tomato will work on it, for now it'll make for a nice paperweight.
i searched the source code of the firmware, and only found one reference to the usb port.
I can't make any sense of it though
it's in
\A90-750115_VER01_00_00_02\SW\bcmdrivers\broadcom\net\usb\impl2
the code references such things as-

if you plug in a flashdrive, the flashdrive lights up, and the USB status light lights up too

this router will be the bees knees for me if I can use it as a print server and as a wireless bridge. I just got 2 for $13 from verizon (and about a few thousand other ppl got the same deal) so I think there will be a lot of demand for added functionality.

there will definitely be huge demand.
especially since the functionality is there..... but crippled.
we just need someone brilliant to turn them back on !!
If you want to compile the source from westell extract the linux tools (toolchain) to /opt/toolchains, not /opt as the readme specifies. After this change it will compile without issue. I have successfully compiled the firmware and it is very similar to openwrt.
