hey guys,
using http://wiki.cuwin.net/index.php?title=Flashing_the_La_Fonera_with_OpenWRT as a tutorial, I was able to flash my rusty fonera 2100 (v0.7.1 r3) to use openwrt, but didn't made any settings. a friend of mine told me I should rather use dd-wrt...okay, newbie as I am, I just flashed the openwrt-ar531x-2.4-vmlinux-CAMICIA.lzma over again to get into RedBoot (I know, epic fail ) now my fonera is not responding anymore, I know the IP (192.168.1.255) but I can't connect over ssh or telnet
is there a way I can save my fonera and flash dd-wrt or is this piece of hardware gone? :(
a friend of mine told me I should rather use dd-wrt
Bad recommendation from my perspective

Try to access RedBoot via serial connection. _________________ 7x La Fonera 2100, 1x NanoStation2 Loco

fonflash is not working, as I already set the password for openwrt back then, so telnet is disabled
guess I have to go the serial connection way, although I have to get a cable

Err, OpenWrt telnet has nothing to do with RedBoot telnet, port 9000 at all.

Most likely this is why you have issues now. Patching RedBoot for Ethernet access is required only once, not prior every flash. Try serial! _________________ 7x La Fonera 2100, 1x NanoStation2 Loco
