i want to upgrade my whr-g300n, but need some help here... i have not had any tftp success so i am wondering if there are any recent firmware.bin ones that i could use??? thanks

If its already been flashed with ddwrt, then you don't have to flash it using tftp, You can flash it from within ddwrt admin page.

Follow the Wiki - the Easy Way

It works every time, and you don't have to worry about timing.

Main thing is - rename the firmware file to "firmware.ram"

The WHR-G300N will find the file if you have the tftp server setup correctly.

Just get TFTPD32 - very easy to use.

thanks for the input, but i tried all those steps and followed them correctly... it did not transfer a file... i am on vista 64bit i did hear it doesn't work on vista, i don't know what to do now...

First of all this isn't a realtime support board. Adding bumps every few hours is just irritating.

Next the answer was given. Since you said already have DD-WRT installed, just use DD-WRTs web administration webpage to flash a newer copy (use the .bin file, not the .tftp file)

Finally, TFTPD works perfectly fine in 64 bit windows.
