Hello !
Hard : Linksys wrt54g v2.2
Firm : DD-WRT v23 SP2 (09/15/06) std

I 've tried to enable the Dynamic Routing Protocol RIP v2 and it seems that it's not running.

Configuration I'd tried :

Setup -> Advanced Routing -> RIP v2 ( all options : WAN , LAN & Wifi , Both )
I think that the correct one for me is WAN.
Firewall OFF.

my network topology :

1 ADSL router Cisco 827H running RIP v2 connected thru Ethernet LAN to the WAN port of a Linksys wrt54g v2.2

Well, Cisco router is running well because I tested the RIP v2 with Network Sniffer Ethereal and RIP packets are sent.

Then I tried to configure RIP on my W2K3 server and the routing works perfect with the Cisco 827.

Then I put the Ethernet cable between WAN port of Linksys and the computer and run RIP. At the same time I put the Ethereal Network Sniffer running and no RIP packets are sended from Linksys Router. The rest of traffic is ok.

The only way to work ( without Dynamic routing protocols ) is like since now:
Disabling Dynamic Routing Protocol and configuring Linksys router in Gateway Mode.

Can you help me or suggest me a solution ?

Thank you !

I think will also works with static routes ( not tested by me yet ).
But this is no important in this problem solution.

I read that could be probably a problem with BIRD daemon:

I will test with original firmware in a few days. First I will find a post or in the Wiki or FAQ a way to do it.

Bye !
