When determining which DD-WRT to use and information pertaining via wiki which version should I use as input?

Will updating it with DD-WRT make it better for me to watch movies because it will be faster?

Will it interfere with my neighbors wifi (same as mine or netgear) because the signal is high?

If it does is there a way to mitigate this like pointing the antennas in another direction? One neighbor gets hit while the other is fine Evil or Very Mad
