I have a WRT350N that I got from a second hand store it was a brick but got it going and loaded dd-wrt.v24_mega_generic.bin on it.
The router works good but I am having problems with the Print Server wont start.

Here is what I have done to this point.
First
Under Services > USB
Core UBS Support Enabled
USB 1.1 Support (UHCI) Enabled
USB 1.1 Support (OHCI) Enabled
USB 2.0 Support Enabled
USB Printer Support Enabled

Second
Under Services > Services
SSHd Enabled

Third
Under Administration
JFFS2 Support Enabled
Then I rebooted the router

Then I ssh'ed in to the router and ran these commands
root@The Wild One:~# mount | grep -i jffs
/dev/mtdblock/4 on /jffs type jffs2 (rw)

ipkg update
no reply form ssh

root@The Wild One:~# ipkg -d root install p910nd

ls -l /jffs/usr/sbin/
no replay

ls -l /dev/usb

This would indicate that the router has found the printer ?

mkdir -p /jffs/etc/config
no reply

echo "/jffs/usr/sbin/p910nd .b .f /dev/usb/lp0 0" > /jffs/
etc/config/usb.startup
-sh: can't create /jffs/etc/config/usb.startup: nonexistent directory

chmod +x /jffs/etc/config/usb.start
no replay
ps | grep p91
No replay
netstat -an | grep 910
No reply

I have tried to run these commands under Administration Commands
with no success.

I am sure that there is a thread or two around here about p910nd USB Printing setup :)

I have done this on WRT350Ns, WRT600Ns and RT-N16s.

For the WRT350N, I follow this...

http://sites.google.com/site/wl520gu/

So me thinks you've done a few things differently :)

Give 'r another go ??

EDIT ... also just noticed that you are running a MEGA build. Depending on whether your are using a BS or Eko build and what SVN version you are running, you may find it easier to get JFFS to operate properly with a MINI-USB build. The smaller the build, the more room left for JFFS to get setup and run properly. Found that out the hard way myself Razz

I have read about 5 different pages on setting up usb printer.
I have had no luck with any of them.
I will try your suggestion.

JFFS2 Enable
Clean JFFS2 Disable
Total / Free Size256.00 KB / 0

Here may very well be my problem I have tried and tried to run clean and unable to get any free space.

If I recall correctly, you should be able to get around 4 or 5MB of JFFS space on the WRT350.

Again that was always using Mini-USB builds.

The quick version of the setup flow goes ....

- enable/clear JFFS
- reboot router
- enable all USB services except storage
- reboot router
- ipkg update
- ipkg install p910nd, etc etc etc

Note that your original post indicated that you enabled USB before JFFS.

If you don't have JFFS space after the second reboot, then you need to use a smaller build.

Once you get this all working, cross your fingers than p910nd gets along with your USB printer Razz

OS Windows Vista
Printer Lexmark x1240 all in one
Router WRT350N

Thank you for the help
I erased the whole flash and reloaded the cfe then tftp dd-wrt.v24_mini_wrt350n.
Then upgraded to dd-wrt.v24_usb_generic that freed up jffs to a little over 4mb.
Then fallowed the instruction at http://sites.google.com/site/wl520gu/
Then checked to see if the print server was working by running this command netstat -an
and it was.
Next I setup the icp/ip port in Windows Vista didn't work until I set the printer online.
Even the scanner seems to work.
Have not had the time to test everything or even set the printer up on the other systems in the house.

Wiping the whole flash & reloading the CFE seems a little extreme in this case .. but as long as you're still having fun and have found success, that's all that matters Very Happy
