Does implementing this mean that the default UPnP daemon is disabled automatically?

No you would need to disable it in the webif, this is just a test but it seems to work fine.

I got it working on the WRT610N V2

http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=380172#380172

I made the script as generic as possible (I didn't hard code any IP addresses or device names) so it could work with other routers.

I got it working on my WRT320N (Eko 13401 mini) using the steps provided by trajano.

My XBox 360 now gets open NAT without any port forwarding needed and the load stays close to 0 on the router.

Many thanks autobot for blazing the trail here and to trajano for making it simple.

Great job guys.

Well, now that we know that miniupnpd works perfectly well, can we please get a word from Eko (or BrainSlayer) as to when it will be put into the official fw? If it will not be, at least a reason why?

Thanks,

Masterman has posted a Trac ticket here two days ago if you want to track the status.

Good to know Autobot.

NOte that Ticket 791 is also open for this issue, and has been for one year now.

I will follow the new ticket as well, but a word from the devs to the "people" would be nice.

Yes I know about the old ticket, maybe this one will do it as the issue has caused this sticky and such.

Working on RT-N16 build 13441M Big so far. Will be really nice if it had a Web-GUI for logs etc. ;)

Code:
Chain MINIUPNPD (1 references)
target     prot opt source               destination
ACCEPT     udp  --  anywhere             none-faff317862     udp dpt:2552
ACCEPT     tcp  --  anywhere             none-faff317862     tcp dpt:45684
ACCEPT     udp  --  anywhere             none-faff317862     udp dpt:45684

Also, if you have Fraters Optware installed, it is wise to do a "service automount stop" before you enable JFFS2 and configure the firewall.

Eko still needs to fix the dev/sda partitions for Fraters scripts to work properly..

Well someone needs to create a tutorial for it ;)

That thread is scattered with junk and no definitive procedure.

On another note, since enabling miniupnpd, I have been receiving this mail.ck crap in my logs...Anyone else notice this?

According to this site it could be a trojan, might want to see if something is running on port 50 on your PC.

When you find what it is you will see that emulated from something you downloaded and installed.
