This one had me stuck for awhile. I have a Buffalo GHR-G300N. When you go through Site Survey to set up the AP you are connecting to, it adds leading and trailing spaces to the SSID. For instance if your SSID is "shamrock" it sets it as " shamrock ". It's a subtle difference and it's very difficult to notice. Once I discovered that, I was able to make it a repeater bridge.

I meant to report this earlier. I have a bash script on my linux server that pulls the wireless signals from the Site_Survey.asp page from each of my routers to a file. There is actually more than 1 space after the SSID names.
