Anyone having trouble with VPN passthrough? My work VPN reportedly connects fine, but I cannot pass any traffic through it. It was working with the Linksys firmware (and also continues to work with my 3G connection).

WRT610N v1.0

Is that related to using this build? If not, then you might want to create your own topic so that it can get more attention. (Possibly even post a bug report.)

Well .... I upgraded. Performed a hard reset, and then reloaded settings.

I concur with gamer.pro.200 in that the router does seem *snappier*. However, I can also say that I did a speed test on my connection before and after the upgrade. Hard evidence says the speeds were approximately the same with only a slight improvement on upload speed.

All in all, I would say another successful build. Keep up the great work developers! Cool

Flashed the 600n v 1.1 with mega 12966. Everything I do port-forwarding, DDNS, dual radio wireless with clients on both radios simultaneously all works fine with good wireless connect speeds. Good Build.

Holy crap. This build is tons faster than the old builds and it fixed my random lock ups on my router. Very nice build! Cool

I can confirm that this build is a LOT faster than any other build I have tested so far. It's not faster in upload/download speed, but in the interface speed and also when browsing it loads pages faster now than before.

Updated and running fine with my WHR-G125 (std generic), WHR-HP-G54 (mini) and WL-500gP v1 (mega).

Couple of thing bothers me.:

There's new Security option setting for Connection Warning Daemon. What is the purpose configuring Recipient Domain Name? Have been running corporate and datacenter email servers for more than a decade, and I just don't get it why Recipient Domain Name should be entered in this option. If you look at Mozilla Thunderbird or Outlook Express SMTP settings, there's no pleace for recipient domain name since there's no need for that. SMTP server name or ip address, SMTP server port (if different to default 25/tcp), sender email address and fullname, recipient email address and perhaps full name are mandatory. Those SMTP AUTH options are good because sometimes you must use them. Perhaps someday support for encrypted SMTP transaction would be nice to have; STARTTLS support at port 25/tcp or completely encrypted TLS version of (E)SMTP at a dedicated port 465/tcp or 587/tcp,

When setting up Access restrictions and selecting Edit List of Clients, the popup window opens too narrow. At the bottom, those IP Range boxes are wordwrapping. Could this popup windows be a bit wider so that it wouldn't wordwrap at all?

Updated my WRT310N from #12548 mini to #12966 mini.

Everything worked and works fine.

Will try to update all the other routers (WRT54GLv1.1, WL500W) tomorrow.

Finally made the plunge to one of BS's newest build yesterday. Everything went well. The one thing I have to say about upgrading to a regular NEWD build is that it doesn't ever give me any issue like the NEWD2. I don't have to power cycle my router 5 times to get the lights and everything working properly. So far haven't noticed anything that would be a negative on this build. Upgraded from Eko's NEWD2 12774 that was running solid for 24 days without any problems.

Upgraded successfully from Eco dd-wrt.v24-12774_NEWD_micro-plus.

Micro-generic.
No problem running as a repeater, bridged.
I haven't seen anyone report this unit:

Found the time to update the rest of my routers. Updated Asus WL500W and Linksys WRT54GLv1.1 from #12548 mini to #12966 mini.

So far the build works perfect on all of my routers (see signature - I did not test WRT160N yet).

I can not confirm the issue iwanushka posted below (bandwidth monitor graphs). They work just fine in Firefox 3.5.

What build are you upgrading from and what model is your router, also list version?

Upgraded from 12874 to this build. Runs quite a bit faster on my WL-500W. Settings apply about 4 times as fast, no more random freezing late at night when DHCP leases expire and need to be renewed, reboots are faster, and I've noticed about a 500k increase is transfer rates. I have tried to resolve the previous build's issues with hard resets and reflashing with no avail, so something in the old build was causing it to not renew IP's when the lease ran out correctly on mine. Good now though.
[EDIT]
Oh yeah. My wireless doesn't freak anymore either. It used to jump around from 30mbps to 117mbps. Now it holds steady at 130mbps. Very nice. Using channels 9+7 with lower channel width. Not bad.
