I just did a downgrade from build 12874 back to build 12759 yesterday, unfortunately the flashing seemed to be failed and the router keeps on rebooting itself!
The red diag light is on and flashed 3 times in early seconds of booting, then the red light remains until the router reboot itself.
I have tried to do the following things:
1. TFTP flashing my router just as what I did before, but the router cannot be even pinged in anyway!
2. TFTPD and firmware.ram.... the router booted, and the WAN light at the back flashed for a while.... then it reboots.
3. 30/30/30 reset
Are there any neat ways to un-brick my router? I am a total newbie and any help would be highly appreciated!

I had recently updated a new router to Brainslayers latest 09/08/09 build.
I thought the update failed because the red diag light kept flashing and
I couldn't ping the router or resend the tftp transfer file.
I thought I bricked mine too!
I did 30/30/30 - nothing happened.
I noticed that, 30/30/30 doesn't seem to do much on the WHR-G300N
While the router is plugged in, hold the reset button in for about 20+ seconds.
You should see all the lights flash, and then the diag light will flash, and then
you should see the router start coming up fine and be able to get into the GUI
This may take a couple tries. I did it about 3 times and the router finally came up. _________________ Soylent Green Is People !
