Hiya Guys.

First post here. Just installed DD-WRT onto my new Buffalo WHR-G300N. VERY VERY impressed. You guys are doing a wonderful job. However I have one question...

This particular router has a security LED (as well as usual power, wifi, diagnostic led etc) However the security light does not work on the build I am currently using. DD-WRT v24-sp2 (05/21/09) std (Brainslayer)

I know it is purely cosmetic but is there any way to force this LED to function (just because the router has a gap between the LED's and it looks a bit strange) If not then not to worry but if you don't ask then you don't get lol.

Also will this router continue to be supported in the future by either Brainslayer or other developers? As it was the only router I could get my hands on here that would run DD-WRT?

Keep up the good work! Very Happy

I'm running the latest build from Brainslayer - Build 12533.

I'll try the security light when I try some client bridge. I'll see if it can connect via WEP or WPA and then see if the security light works.

Got the security light on by typing on the Command Shell:
Code:
gpio disable 14

This is purely cosmetic, right?
No harm is done by saving this as a startup script?

No it won't hurt, it's purely cosmetic.

Sorry, haven't had a chance to test the security light on this yet.

Will try and get to it this weekend.

--------------

Tried this out on mine as well, finally, yep - works!

Finally got the security light enabled.

Probably sometime in the future this will get fixed.
