Hola!

He tratado de Flashar mi WRT54G v5.0, construí éste cable

He Realizado los sgtes pasos:

1- wrt54g -backup:wholeflash (Lo Realiza)
2- wrt54g -erase:wholeflash /noemw (Lo Realiza)
3- wrt54g -flash:CFE /noreset (Lo Realiza)

Sad Question

Although I don't understand everything you were talking about I still recommend you one thing (WITHOUT WARRANTY!):

try the dd-wrt.v23_micro_generic.bin

It worked for me, dunno why but with the dd-wrt.v23_micro_wrt54g.bin I had the same problems and now I have two boxes running, one at home and one at work, the one at home:

Code:
Firmware: DD-WRT v23 SP1 Final (05/16/06) micro
Time: 08:51:52 up 7 days, 22:50, load average: 0.16, 0.03, 0.01
WAN disabled

Hope this helps! And besides: Nice post, much information *g* But next time try the spanish (guess it is spanisch) forum Very Happy

Hi CIL!

I tried to flash my WRT54G v5.0, so I build this cable:

I thinks it is working, look this screen:

I did this:
Created CFE.BIN using Skynet "Bootloader Creator 2.0", changed pc ip address to fixed to this:

I also set "Force 10 Half duplex"

Done that, on command line I did:
1- wrt54g -backup:wholeflash (worked ok)
2- wrt54g -erase:wholeflash /noemw (worked ok)
3- wrt54g -flash:CFE /noreset (worked ok)
4- power cicle router and:
5- ping 192.168.1.245, then run tftp:

then router lights blinks showing activity, I guess it successfully loads firmware via tftp, then wait up to 10 mins, just power led blinks.
Also did "wrt54g -erase:nvram /noerase" but nothing.

I also tried renaming wrt.v23_micro_wrt54g.bin" a KERNEL.BIN and flashing that, not response.

Finally I flashed it using the backup image (wrt54g - lash:wholeflash /noemw), it works as new.

What I'm doing wrong? Sad Question

Gracias...!
