I hope this one is not done for good, any other things you could suggest I try will be appreciated. I was doing the second firmware upgrade ( to standard)and the power in the neighborhood went out for a min or so right when my screen said "you have 196 seconds left to complete a successful upgrade. I have tried several hard 30/30/30 resets, made sure all my firewall were off and I still cannot get it to connect at all! no pings nothing. The power light just keeps blinking. It does not have a jteg connector but I do see the pin holes when I took it apart..does anyone Have any Ideas? or is this one history?
Thanks in advance
Tim
PS I went out and bought a Belkin f5d8236-4 v-2000 any d/ls for that? I did'nt see any

You might check with wireshark if it is still giving BOOTP requests, I had this once with my old router, I already connected it with a serial port (can't remember how and the page I got it from is gone) but then saw the line "BOOTP request sent", so I downloaded a BOOTP server and that easily fixed it.

I found another page with the serial port pin layout, these should not be holes but actual pins, I think most linksys routers is not all have them.
Pin 1 3.3V (pin 1 has a white stripe next to it)
Pin 2 RXD (from serial terminal program to NSLU2)
Pin 3 TXD (from NSLU2 to serial terminal program)
Pin 4 GND

Hm, after looking at some images I see there are no pins, but it has a debug port and jtag requires like 10 pins. So the 4 holes should be the debug port.

The device has jtag. There should be nothing wrong with the cfe so you just need to erase nvram & kernel. Then tftp the oem fw on the box, then put dd-wrt back on. You don't have to flash anything in this case with jtag.. Just erase. DO NOT erase cfe or wholeflash.

Good luck with that ity bity header.

JP1 is the jtag connection. Square pad is pin 1 and normal linksys pinouts.

There is a whole thread stickied on jtag as well as a developing wiki.
