I have recently installed the v24 micro generic firmware, on the router..
WRT54GS V6

I cannot get port forwarding to work no matter what.

I have windows firewall disabled. The only thing I did with the router once the firmware was installed is to put a wireless password on it and to add one port to the port forwarding range.

I have verified that the correct IP has been used.

I have tried multiple port checking utilities and websites and they all say the port is closed or unreachable. (in fact every port is "closed or unreachable" even the ones that are usually kept open such as port 21 for ftp

If anyone has any insight into how I can fix this PLEASE let me know
