Check the newd-2 build thread. Not sure if anyone has tried a Buffalo HP unit. The newd-1 build is getting good reviews. _________________ SIG:

Hehehe...been there. You actually can run NEWD2 builds on this particular model. I am running Eko NEWD2-nokaid on my HP-G54 and it is my host AP unit running my entire network. I have been quite happy with this build on this unit.
Like Murrkf said...11296 is very safe and stable...but I am liking this 12476 NEWD2 build on my unit as well.
I suggest you save up some cash and purchase a JTAG cable at some point....they are only $11 shipped from ebay...and they are so worth the money....if you want to make one yourself...the cost is only a couple bucks for resistors...I made my first one from an old parallel printer cable, 4-100ohm resistors, and a piece of ribbon cable with connector...total cost was about $2 for the resistors...I already had the cables from old PC's.
