Alright i dont know if i have this posted in the wrong section or what not but as i said in the title i have a belking F5D8230-4 and I am a little confused how to flash it and what program to flash it with, so far i have tried the mini v24? i got off the dd site and loaded it using the GUI not the TFTP flash, now i have the little .exe program for the TFTP if i need to use it that way. i dont know exactly what to do, ive tried reading but i get lost with it all.

Well, obviously you have succeeded to load the mini version via the web gui so there is not much more to do than configure the router and start using it.

The router will restart and you will get access to the web gui.

I suggest that you start with telling what version number of F5D8230-4 you have and its FCC Id#.

Read the Announcement threads in top of the forum, do a search for your FCC Id using the forum search to see what result others has got.
Visit the dd-wrt wiki page (link in the blue field in top of every forum page) choose the "Install" section where you can read about special issues with certain routers.
The install page also has a link to "Supported devices"

I'd suggest to start from here: http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=29520&highlight=

Almost everything about Belkin F5D8230-4 v1001 is there.
I hope your router's version is ver1
