With 32MB of memory, 8MB of flash, and Linux support this looks like one router that I would want to run DD-WRT on. The only question is whether anyone has got DD-WRT to run on this hardware? If not what are the plans.
I just received my 2 routers, any tips how how to proceed to test them out? I popped them open to find the solder points for JTAG, and it has them but they are a lot smaller and closer together, I will have to scrounge the net to find the right pins for them...
I'm anxious to see how this develops. I just purchased one off Newegg.com. It seems strange that Atheros offers open-source drivers for their hardware and Broadcom does not yet Broadcom is better supported than Atheros. I know Atheros just recently open-sourced their code so these things take time. Maybe there's a push by Linksys for their Linux variant router to be more open-source friendly than the Broadcom stuff is. I've got my fingers crossed. I wish I had more coding knowledge so I could help with this type of stuff. If there's anything I can do testing wise, let me know I should have this thing in hand in a few days. _________________
