hello.
Starting this post, coz questions keep on coming up again and again,
so.. decided to make some how to about how to make some powerfull and sharp path antenna
So, we will need blank PCB 24 cm X 24 cm
here we need to make all the 9 vibrators
whats the easiest way...
i'll attach the file in Adobe illustrator and Corel format
with that file you need to go to the nearest place where you can found Cutting Plotter.
And the nearest will be any adwertising making firm (all thous sreaming strings in the shop windows are made with that plotter and sticking tape)
so... you will have a stiker on the paper with clued transparent montage tape above
so... removing the paper carefully
keep the angle sharp!
now we have transp. tape and the sticker, all the clued layer up!
here... no hand shaking.. placing all on
and rolling and stiring - moving all the bulbs and bubbles away
checking
and - to the cuprum solvent
seems like ok
washing and tape removing
reflector - 283 x 283 metall plate distanced at 5 mm from CUPRUM LAYER of our PCB!!
so.. do it like that
now...just solder N-type socket in the center of the circle.... and.. its working..

So you solder the N-type socket to the center of the circle from the back of the PCB, and then connecting the shield of the antenna cable to the metal plate (acting as a reflector?).
What would you suggest to make it weatherproof. Mount it in a plastic box or something?

gain is 16 db - really don't remember how to calculate what will be exactly in dbi - something like 19 dbi or so.
biquad is about 10 dbi
why i recommend exactly this antenna? just becouse thats the method of building very sharp shaped vibrators, somehow... it is "guaranteed result construction"
Instead of using a plotter, you can also print this with a laserprinter on waxed paper. Many magazines and catalogs has this sort of paper.
Then you have to put it on the pcb.
Use an electric iron to transfer the printed picture on your pcb.
after that you can use water to remove the paper.
The printed picture is now on your pcb.
now put it into the acid and after that you can remove the black color with a brush
It's VERY important to use a laser printer or a copier.
inkjets doesn't work.

no luck for me... maybe somewhat could be done another way...
but i think i found the way, that guarantees 100% accuracy with minimum skill.

just follow the instructions.
I'm using the HP laserjet 1300 and it works perfect. The accuracy is about 0.2mm - 0.1mm
