i want to add something regarding issues with intel pro wireless cards / centrino systems.

my laptop has such a device installed. i can connect to dd-wrt atheros routers, but the wireless driver in windows crashes always after 30 minutes (also with broadcom units)
i never got this card working stable over the last 2 years and i know that other people having the same problems with this type of wireless card.

older drivers are not even compatible to wpa networks

Yes, thats right

Only between my WRT-54GL and my Dell Lap wireless Network works like a charm.
On the Dell support Page there is n older Inter driver. I think only the newest drivers makes mistake!
After a Week Dell changes my mainboard, Cpu and Display.
Now i will try a new install. of Windows.
Hope this helps

So, now 1 of the eoc is WDS-AP the other is WDS-Station.
The WDS_AP is connected to my LAN and has an static IP (192.168.115.50), dnsmasq is diabled. Also dhcp

The WDS-Client is direkt connected to my Laptop and dnsmasq is also deaktivated. The IP of the eoc is 192.168.115.60.

The wlan connection has 70% signal quality ( 4m air between the 2 eoc´s Wink )

On my Server is iperf running and i have test it with wlan (wrt-54gl) and wired (gbit) and the speed is perfekt.
Only over the wds brigde between the 2 eos´s is slower then umts... Laughing
Both eoc´s are in g-only mode and ack is on 0

WLAN Schaltuhr
WLAN ist An
Modus - WDS Station
Netzwerk - Nur-G
SSID - athome
Kanal - 6 (2437 Mhz)
Sendeleistung - 28 dBm
Rate - 9 Mb/s
ACK Timing - 354µs (52500m)
Verschlüsselung - Interface ath0
Eingeschaltet, WPA2 Personal

What is wrong, what setting is not ok that wlan speed is sooooo slow?

thx for your help..

Solved the Problem?

Did you the the command in ssh:
speedicmp RouterIP

You won't need iperf on the other side with that command.

QoS disabled?

Just try it. Should work either way.
But you won't find speedicmp on Linksys or buffalo Clients. But speedicmp is included in the EOC because of the big flash.
