hi
many times when updating to the newest firmware the device have some problems, last time the problem was with the MAC list, the time before the problem was with the Advance wireless setting that is not shown in the before and the after firmware.
now at the latest built 19-03-2009 i upgrade my cambria and it stop responding from the wireless side, i can inter to the board from the LAN with many errors as shown in the attached picture. im sure 100% that i uploaded the correct firmware. now i have to bring the tower man to bring me down the Board and re installing the dd-wrt again , this will cost me 50$.
why there is much errors in these firmwares ? when any problem appear the first thing that dd-wrt team will say is to upgrade to the latest one and we are doing that as they recommend.
can any one tell us what it the problem ? can you test the firmware before publishing ? _________________ 13 x IXP, 6 x RB532, 16 x Broadcom, 4 x NS, 4 x PS, many TP-Link

Good morning,
honestly, you should never flash any daily build from us on a production system. If you do so, you should have test the daily build on a non-production system first, using the same configuration.
We mark these build as "beta" and provide them, to get feedback from our testers.
Is the unit accessable via ssh / telnet? _________________ NewMedia-NET GmbH

you remember the MAC problem, you told me to update to the final one.
and you remember the rebooting problem for the WP188
(still existing) and your team told me to update to the latest because at each version they fix a lot of problems.
it is really a strange thing, i remember Taloot when he have several problems with his wp188 and the only way was to contact BS to modify the firmware and then install the latest one. the only way to solve our problems was publishing it in the forum to solve and then installing the modified one.
all of that and you tell me not to blame you !!!! really strange.
you must take my advice; test the version before publishing it or you may loss a lot of users. _________________ 13 x IXP, 6 x RB532, 16 x Broadcom, 4 x NS, 4 x PS, many TP-Link
I got the same problem, but lucky enough i still can get into the box via SSH and the internet is still working.
But the are no more buttons on the dd-wrt webgui ...
is there a way, how can i downgrade via ssh back to SP1 ?

thanks for your advice, in future i'll buy extra routers only to test the beta firmwares.

as per Brainslayer you also can upgrade / downgrade via SSH / Telnet
simply copy the update file (not the flash) into /tmp and rename it to firmware.bin, then the avila will flash it automaticly after 1 min
