Hi, I'm trying to install some stuff with ipkg, but it doesn't seem to install things properly...

BTW, I have a 256MB partition on my USB stick mounted at /mmc, since ipkg seems to understand /mmc as an install path.

Quote:

root@WL-500W:/mmc# ipkg status
root@WL-500W:/mmc# set

root@WL-500W:/mmc#

As you can see, the libraries are supposedly installed, as is nano, but ipkg status returns nothing. There was something else I was trying to install that required libusb, and I got similar issues.

Any thoughts?

Anyone? Bueller?... Bueller?

I have a neat new toy, but I want to make it more fun to play with (indeed having fun and playing with it in the process) but this issue is taking all my fun away :(

It still works fine, technically... but it's not fun right now. Thus it's broken. Wink

No answers for this? Can someone with more knowledge/familiarity/etc of DD-WRT at least throw out some ideas? My poor router is just being used as a router now, and I kinda feel bad about it Razz

I also gave up. But then I gave Optware a chance, and it worked right at the first try :D

I do wonder why Optware is working so well and the dd-wrt ipkg isn't...
