Hey, is it possible to reset my webui user and pass from telnet?

I don't know how the password has changed but it has. The stored password on Firefox has always worked and I have not changed it on webui but now for some reason, I just can't get on to forward ports.

I know it can be done in ssh but I can't access it. I tried using putty using 192.168.1.1 port but it just says Network Error: Connection Refused.

Well if you don't know the password, you can't get in via telnet either. It requires that you know the password.

I would recommend against using Firefox's password remembering feature with dd-wrt. There are too many problems with it.

Don't use firefox with DD-WRT web gui, sometimes it can't save the change you've made

I've never had a problem with firefox until now. I'm not sure it was firefox though as I knew what my password should have been.

Anyway, telnet allowed me in with U:root P:admin. I tried this on webui but it didn't work.

In putty using telnet I used:

nvram set http_passwd=
nvram commit

Then I tried to access NAT/QoS and it didn't ask me for username or password and let me in. Now set them to what it should have been and everything is fine.

It's been like that for a few days but the router is in the loft and I can't find the key for the loft door lol.
