I couldn't find any utils to manipulate the Alix LEDs or read the switch state so I rolled my own. See attached. I've tested them on my alix2d0 but they should work on all but the alix1.
Run the programs without arguments to see usage info. I'll write up better documentation if there's interest.
Yes, I know they're huge binaries, but I had to compile w/ -static because I don't have a dd-wrt build environment.
hello llowrey,
i have an alix board too,
how can i indicate the wan status on the front led´s ??
led on when online, off when not ..
is it posible to handle this ??
The goods news is that you could create a wanup script which is executed whenever the wan link comes up. That script could turn on the LED. The bad news is that there is no wandown link to turn off the LED.
I suppose you could write a script that could watch the wan status once a second and set the LED accordingly, but it would be a heck of a lot easier if there was a wandown script!
