i dont know if these people really want that i switch over to the activation system. good that rapidshare is a german company. we will take care about it
the guy namend zbv2net is also here in this forum, but he is not part of the customer list _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Sounds like a Mac to me.." - Louis Rossmann https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eL_5YDRWqGE&t=60s
I think activation would be somewhat cumbersome to average customer... Also we have to realise there will allways be some peoples that will pirate software...
But one thing I could even like myself would be what was suggested year(s) ago by BS where every special download would have "owner/buyers" name or nick somewhere... That wouldn't ofcourse prevent piracy, but then we could see whose build is on in the wild. (+ it would look nice for loyal customers) I don't know did it turned out to be too cumbersome to do such system afterall.

jep i thought of this, too. the problem ist the implementing. to keep the workload low (so sebastian will not have to create a custom build for each user) there will be some sort of live build system were you can request your file for download (or send by mail) and you will get it automaticly "cusomized" _________________ Forum Guidelines...How to get help

if i implement a activation, then a user had to pay for each router and this not not what i want. the special edition should be free as is for any amount of routers since its only made as small support.
i have also seen the sp1 running on bittorrent with a document inside where people are telling that i just steal code from other people and other crap _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking? Well AFAIK we normal users don't want activation, but a name would be nice... Ofcourse I can realise that it might not be that easy to do either... Then it also occurred in my mind that if ever just a name in the firmware would be available, bought customers could request the name atuomatically like trough this closed forum section or shop or something, this way user could get whatever name he wants and also build new ones too.

the name it in itself is not a complicated problem, but patching the forum and the shop to make it possible is the big work. and i'm really not a php coder _________________ "So you tried to use the computer and it started smoking?
