SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor
http://www.solarwinds.com

I have been Reading on this Forum for a while I love this Firmware.

Hardest part was getting the Router to push out SNMP Packets. Had to do SSH into the Router to Make it work.

***SolarWinds says only NetFlow v5, v9, SFlow and JFlow is supported, but rFlow works with no problem****

Once the SNMP was pushed out, all I needed to do was add the Router into the System Manager SNMPv2c. Once added, I added all of the interfaces to show up on the Website.

Make sure SNMP rFlow & MACupd are on in the Services in the Router.

These are my results.

I now receive:

Node Status.
Node Details Full Stats CPU + Memory + Interfaces
Interface Details

rFlow Status
rFlow Details

Historical Data of the Node

Syslog Data

Alerts when the interface or Node Goes Down to include my ISP Router ICMP status.

This is mostly a Business Program with a SQL Server Standard/Express (Free) to collect all of the stats.

Its not cheap, but I do admit I have seen some Solarwinds apps on torrents.

ipMonitor is on the Torrents, its similar to Orion.

HI, I am completely new to DD-WRT and would like to reproduce what you did (monitoring netflow/rflow).

Can you provide me with what version of DD-WRT you are using, as well as specifics on installing SSH? I have a WRT54G that I will be using. I will need to specify on the router to export flows to a particular IP address and port.

Thanks, and I hope you can help!

Solarwinds Now has NetFlow Tool for Free.

http://www.solarwinds.com/register/index.aspx?Program=852&c=70150000000DrSQ&CMP=ILC-HPPT_NA_DL

At the moment I am only getting Outbound, once I get it all working I will post more screen shots.

Since it is free, it can only log information for 1 hour.

Thanks. I have my own netflow collector, and I would like to see if it will properly report on rflow. For my current collector, I enable Netflow on routers to be sent to a particular IP address and Port. How can this be done with DD-WRT?... I have only found "Enable/Disable rFlow." Does it actually send flow data to a destination, or must you pull it using something like SNMP?

I am using DD-WRT v23SP2 on a Linksys WRT54G Version 2.

Thanks!

Solarwinds States they support NetFlow v5, NetFlow v9, JFlow, and SFlow.

On NetFlow, both the Free Tool, which happens to be on the Engineers Toolset, as well as their full version of NetFlow, I have been able to get rFlow data.

SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor addresses numerous issues by giving in-depth info on dissimilar statistics. For further info try https://appuals.com/solarwinds-network-performance-monitor-npm-a-comprehensive-review/. You can say that we can really see the end to the path in the internet for amenities, and it tells us any pack loss or dormancy in the internet between end to end knots. This is one of the best choices one could ever have when it comes to network performance and monitoring tools. Another best thing about it is that it directs you from one section to another without taking much time. It has a very good documentation on any of its mechanisms and the capacity to modify a lot of stuff is remarkable.
