My router(WRT54GL v1.1 v24 final) is acting up again. It was working fine before, and a few months it started not booting up. The power LED will flash forever, and 4 LAN LEDs and INTERNET LED will be solid on.
So I left it alone and a few months later I turned it on and it booted up normally. I switched it off and it will brick again not booting up. So far I rebooted about a million times trying hard reset, managememnt mode etc nothing works.

So now I really wanna make it work forever so I wanna fix this shit. Now I got a USB JTAG and using the app it detects this:

IDCODE 535217F
Broadcom BCM5352
IMPCODE 800904
DMA Supported

Now WTF should I do to make the router boot up everytime??

NO its not pingable, not TFTPable, nothing worked except the USB JTAG.

Any help on this is appreciated.

By kernel you mean DD-WRT firmware right?

yes, kernel is part of the firmware. But so is CFE. Do NOT erase the CFE. That is the last resort! (you must then have valid backup to replace it with)

Just use tjtag to erase nvram and kernel portions of flash, then TFTP might work to put dd-wrt back on.

The software has docs and help included with it.

tjtag -erase:nvram
tjtag -erase:kernel

Then give your PC a static ip 192.168.1.20 and try TFTP the firmware to the router.
