Howdy,

I just flashed a WRT600N with dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin from 2.4 RC6.2, and it mostly works, but I'm not able to ping my router's IP over ethernet (LAN ports), but I can do so over wireless.
Of course, I also cannot bridge between wireless and ethernet.

I don't currently use the WAN port, I'm only using the router as a bride between my wired lan and wireless clients.

Any idea why it doesn't work out of the box like any other wireless router I have, and especially what settings I should tweak?

Also, I'm a bit confused: a WRT600N has 5 ethernet ports and 2 wireless, but I only see 3 ethernet interfaces. How is this supposed to work, and why can't
I ping my router through its ethernet ports, or bridge?

Any other info I can give?

Have you guys done a hard reset? I wonder if something is corrupt in nvram?

Well, I had done a reset after upgrading from the stock build3 to 2.4 RC6.2, but apparently, that wasn't enough.
After I did a second full reset, things started working.

I would however love to see a page that shows me which bridge/vlan is which, what interface is what, and why I have fewer ethernet interfaces (eth0, eth1, eth2) than I have ethernet jacks (5) :)

Thanks,
Marc

So you now have the Ethernet ports working?

That would be pretty funny if that was the only issue with the WRT600N 1.1.
Was yours one of the 1.01.35 build 5's?

I will try this again, maybe my two resets didn't take. I really hope so. :D

The supported hardware now links directly to this page for no lan ports so I hope that I'm just dumb.

No, I was build3.
From what I've read (look elsewhere), build5 comes with slightly compatible hardware that causes eth problems. I think your problem is that you need some not well advertised (or existing?) newer build that is compatible with your hw.

Good luck.
